A quick Timmy update….

This little guy is just not so little anymore! Timmy is 16 months old now and so much fun! He gives great big bear hugs and has a great laugh.  He is learning a couple words (go, dada, mama), but mostly just points, grunts and then laughs when we figure out what he wants.  He lacks words, but he’ll join in learning letter sounds with the big kids and all the sudden he’ll say “buh, buh, buh”. I am guessing he will suprise us all by speaking in full sentences before ever saying any words.  He takes one long nap in the afternoon and sleeps about 12-13 hours at night. He is probably the oldest baby ever with a mobile on his crib. He wakes up, pushes the button, and lays there watching it spin.  Many times we won’t even know he’s awake till we hear the soft mobile music from down the hall. He still prefers to hang out with his mama, but also does his best to keep up with his big brother and sister- especially outside playing with riding toys or anything involving dirt. We love our Timmers!

Photography

is clearly not my hobby. You can tell from this attempt to get one picture of my kids, in decent (even matching!) clothes, all smiling-or even just looking- at the same time.  And also the flash in the glass fire place is a really nice artistic touch. Ha!

Christmas in Omaha

We had a fabulous Christmas with my family over New Year’s weekend. It was very normal, fun, and relaxing- all really good things!  The kids got to make Christmas cookies with Grandma- even Timmy did one or two.  They also got to eat ice cream for dinner one night with Grandma’s new soft serve ice cream maker.  We worked off some of those holiday treats by playing games on the new Kinect that “Santa” brought to everybody. The kids loved the Disneyland and adventure games, and some of us adults may or may not have played the dancing game for hours in the evenings after the kids were in bed. And it just wouldn’t be Christmas without some one in this family having the stomach flu, so unfortunately that was part of our holiday season.  We had it over actual Christmas and were well enough to still head to Omaha for our holiday plans. Anthony, Addi, and Prise came over on “Christmas” morning wearing masks. Gotta love a good sense of humor about kids spreading germs! Fortunately, most of the Omaha crew did not catch it, just my mom, but Grandma’s just can’t resist snuggling grandkids even at the cost of a potential bug (sorry Mom!). Overall, it was a great holiday, and I am so thankful.
