Ellie is officially crawling on all fours! Drew has mastered the speedy army crawl. He can take a few “steps” up on his knees, but he gets around very quickly on his belly, so he’s sticking with what works.
Crawling Babes As usual, that’s me talking like an idiot.

Drew and Ellie are finally both feeling better after two weeks of a virus that caused ear infections, rashes, and wheezing. I’m glad to be done with that, although I’m sure we will see it again. Maybe we’ll actually make it to church in the month of January.
- We started to baby proof just in time.
- All curled up and sleeping soundly.
- Bottoms up!
- This helped with his wheezing, and he learned to like it!
- Still not feeling so good…Ellie looks terrible!

Stacey came for a spur the moment visit. We had such a fun weekend complete with pedicures, games, and lots of baby snuggles! Thanks for coming to visit us Aunt Stace! We miss you!
Here are some video’s from the weekend.
Drew Learning to Wave - Drew has since completely gotten the hang of this and was even waving to strangers at the store today!

This is totally out of order, but needs to be documented. James and I left Drew and Ellie with my parents over night for New Year’s Eve! We went to dinner in the Old Market with my sisters & Co., watched fireworks, and danced the night away. Well, we didn’t actually dance the night away; we were back at our hotel in time to watch the ball drop and enjoyed a night of not sleeping with one ear open for babies!
Thanks Mom & Dad!

in the morning. Fever in the afternoon. Drew and Ellie are still sick and are sleepy, snuggly little bugs as a result. I’m sure we will end up at the dr’s in the morning since as soon as one’s fever appears to be gone, the other is on fire.
One major perk to sick babies is their extreme cuddliness (is that a word?) This is at 6:30pm on Thursday night. Poor babies…..

Ellie and Drew are 8 months old today! They woke up with fevers to celebrate the occasion. They are doing better this afternoon after a 3.5 hour nap! (Unfortunately, that is not the norm.)
Drew is getting very speedy at the army crawl, claps, LOVES his food- is picking up anything that is small enough to eat, talks constantly, laughs often and has the best giggle. He is still cuddly and sucks his fingers on his left hand when he is tired. He is very easy to put to sleep for naps and bed time. He wakes up chatting to himself and experimenting with his voice. He is learning to get to new parts of the house and discover things like power strips and the fire place.
Here’s a clip of Drew this morning: Drew
Ellie is getting more and more social everyday. She has the sweetest grin; she even learned how to wave “hi”! She is slowly getting the hang of scooting and desperately wants to keep up with Drew. She can pull herself up on furniture and stands whenever possible. She loves to have a “conversation” with us and will squeal back and forth.
Here’s a clip of Ellie talking: Ellie
Hope my first attempt at adding video was successful. Next time it will look better; I’m pretty proud of myself for actually getting it to work!

I am a little behind on all the fun and festive events of December, so I will start with Drew and Ellie’s baptism weekend. We have been attending Trinity Grace Presbyterian Church for the past two years. I know many of you are not familiar with the practice of infant baptism- it has nothing to do with their actual salvation; it is simply a symbol of their part in the visible church as children of Believers and our trusting that God will call them to Himself. Anyways…… My whole family came to visit and show their support for us as we raise Drew and Ellie! We had a great time and packed a lot into 48 hours. We took cousin pictures in Christmas outfits, made Christmas cookies, swam at the hotel, went out for dinner, played games, sang in church, and had lunch with friends and family. It was great!
